England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts prodigy Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

These three athletes have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The finalists were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
