Young golfer preparing for major competition

The rising star has considerable social media following

The young golfer will have numerous high-profile backers when she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a tournament invitation to play at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns numerous golf courses and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.

"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's quite busy."

While still amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

Yet she's able to receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," Kai stated.

"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, relax, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including second-ranked the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that her participation exposes golf to different demographics, especially with younger fans.

Kai maintains millions of followers and just introduced a personal fashion and living brand.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
