Barcelona Set to Play Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees can be present as per the current authorization. When completed, the stadium’s capacity will reach close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
