The concluding season of the platform's supernatural phenomenon Stranger Things is set to be a major events of this year. The first part debuts on the 27th of November, but a sneak peek of the chilling opening five minutes has been released online.
The Beginning: A Flashback to the show's origins
The episode, called the prologue, brings audiences back to the start of the show in the year 1983, in the wake of the vanishing of the young character.
"Do I remain or leave?" Will sings as he tries to stay collected in the Upside Down.
Things quickly become horrifying as a monstrous creature materializes and pulls the character to the lair of Vecna. "At long last, our work can start," he informs the youth as shooting a plant-like appendage through his esophagus. "The two of us, we will accomplish such beautiful works as one."
Broadcast Dates and Cinematic Screenings
The second part of the last season will be broadcast on Boxing Day, while the series finale released on January 1 – additionally set for screened in certain theaters.
Plot Summary
The summary explains: "The fall of the late '80s. Hawkins is scarred by the emergence of dimensional tears, and our heroes join forces by one objective: locate and eliminate the enemy. Yet his location is unknown – his whereabouts and intentions unclear. Making more difficult their mission, the government has enforced the community under military quarantine and intensified the search for Eleven, compelling her into seclusion. When the anniversary of Will's disappearance looms, arrives an intense, known fear. Production Insights
The surprise clip was posted on the video platform after the show's Los Angeles premiere recently, featuring cast members like Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.
"The scale of the season is bigger … There is more excitement and enhanced CGI, however it's also without a doubt the most emotional series as it concludes of the journey for the entire cast," the series' executive producer, recently said of the last chapters.
The co-producer and collaborator, remarked: "Releasing it in the world is anxiety-inducing, but we feel equipped to unveil it finally."
