Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft touched down based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is secure," an official representative commented in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane carrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a mechanical fault.
